Share with us your thoughts in the comments and your reactions to how the game looks on console versus PC and your overall impressions of the game so far. I didn't see any of these sorts of graphical glitches on my playthrough on PC and so it's clear that in terms of graphical fidelity, PC ports reign supreme. To really see the difference in lighting check out 2:33 onwards to see how fuzzy the shadows on the PS4 version are and 3:21 to see how much more nuanced the rays emanating from the light fixtures look on the PC version.Ĭheck out the texture pop in on the PS4 version featured at the end of the video at 5:34. The lighting and ambient occlusion on the PC were infinitely better and created a much more involving, moody atmosphere. That's about as much as can be said in terms of the console advantage, as in most every other way the PC version outstripped the PS4 version in terms of performance. The frame rate overall in the PS4 version of The Division ran at a much more stable FPS due to being capped at 30, whereas the frame rate fluctuated a fair amount on the PC but was just over an average of 60 which made quite a difference. The Division PC benchmark was done at a 1920x1080 screen resolution on an Intel i7 5820K, MSI NVIDIA GTX 980 ti 6gb and 16gb RAM memory PC and the PS4 benchmark was recorded using the Elgato Gaming Capture HD60, which pulls footage directly from the PS4 through HDMI and records up to 60fps in 1080p.
